Transit Essence

Transit Essence numbers reveal the underlying vibrational themes influencing each year of your life based on the cycling letters of your birth name. Unlike Personal Year numbers which derive from your birth date, Essence numbers come from your name, making them a unique and deeply personal timing indicator that reflects your name's ongoing influence.

Each letter in your birth name governs a period equal to its numerological value (A=1 year, B=2 years, etc.), cycling repeatedly through your life. At any given age, different letters from your first, middle, and last names are active simultaneously, and their combined value creates your Essence number for that year.

Each name component (first, middle, last) has its letters cycling independently. For your current age, the active transit letter from each name part is identified based on the cumulative years of all preceding letters. The numerical values of all active transit letters are then summed and reduced to produce your Essence number.

Because each name component cycles at its own pace, the same Essence number may not recur for many years, creating a rich and varied year-by-year progression of influences that complements your Personal Year cycle.

Transit Essence analysis developed as an extension of Pythagorean name numerology.
