About ModernAstro

I grew up in India where Jyotish was woven into ordinary life: muhurats before a new venture, a quick look at the dasha before a big decision. What drew me in wasn't the predictions; it was the logic underneath. A system built on astronomy, developed over centuries, that still holds together. I'm still a student of it. Jyotish is deep enough that I expect I always will be, so I built ModernAstro to lean on the classical sources and the people who know them far better than I do, not on my own readings.

My day job has been building software that scales. I founded Cyberax Tech in 2006, and over nearly two decades we've shipped platforms serving hundreds of thousands of users. The engineering discipline that comes with that work (precision, performance, treating a user's time as sacred) is what I wanted to bring to a craft I love.

When I looked at what existed online for Vedic astrology, the contrast was jarring. The astronomy was often right, but the experience was stuck in another decade. Data dumps with no explanation. Interfaces that felt dated. And almost nothing that helped you understand why your chart says what it says.

ModernAstro is the product I wished existed.
