1. Service Description

ModernAstro is a Vedic astrology platform that provides astronomical calculations, astrological interpretations, and personalized reports. Our services include birth chart (Kundli) analysis, Dasha period calculations, Nakshatra and Rasi determinations, numerology tools, Panchang calendar features, compatibility matching, and premium PDF reports.

By accessing or using ModernAstro (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Accounts & Registration

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account on ModernAstro. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian consents to your use of the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use. Each person may maintain only one account.

You may also create an account or sign in using Google. When you do so, you authorize us to access basic profile information (email address and display name) from your Google account. Your use of Google's sign-in service is also subject to Google's Terms of Service. You remain responsible for all activity under your account regardless of how you authenticate.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or remain inactive for an extended period.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

ModernAstro offers a free tier with access to core calculations and data. The Pro subscription is available at ₹199 per month or ₹1,999 per year and unlocks interpretations, predictions, report discounts, and priority support.

All payments are processed through our authorized payment partner. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to the renewal date.

Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to modify pricing with at least 30 days' notice before the change takes effect on your next billing cycle.

4. Refund Policy

Annual plans: You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase. After 7 days, no refunds are issued but you retain access for the remainder of your billing period.

Monthly plans: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.

Reports: PDF reports are non-refundable digital goods delivered instantly upon generation. If a technical error prevents report generation or produces a corrupted file, we will either re-generate the report or issue a full refund at our discretion.

5. Report Purchases

All reports offered on ModernAstro are separate, one-time purchases independent of your subscription plan. Pro subscribers receive discounted pricing on all report purchases.

Reports are generated using the birth data you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information submitted. We do not verify the correctness of birth data entered by users.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any astrological interpretations, predictions, or recommendations contained in reports. Reports are provided for educational, entertainment, and self-reflection purposes only.

When using ModernAstro, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Access or attempt to access the Service through automated means (bots, scrapers, or crawlers) without our express written permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any data, reports, or content obtained from the Service without authorization
• Upload or transmit harmful code, viruses, or any material that may damage or impair the Service

Violation of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without notice or refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, calculations, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, and other materials available through ModernAstro are owned by or licensed to ModernAstro and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

When you purchase a report, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use that report for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or publicly display any report or its contents without our prior written consent.

The ModernAstro name, logo, and all related trademarks are the property of ModernAstro. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.

9. Privacy & Data

Your birth data, profile information, and usage data are stored securely and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. If you sign in via Google, we also receive and store your email address, display name, and Google account identifier as described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal birth data with third parties for marketing purposes. Birth data is used solely to provide you with astrological calculations and reports.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

ModernAstro shall not be held liable for any decisions made, actions taken, or outcomes experienced as a result of relying on astrological content, calculations, interpretations, or recommendations provided by the Service.

In no event shall ModernAstro's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the total amount you have paid to ModernAstro in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ModernAstro, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any third-party rights, or any content you submit or transmit through the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will provide notice via email to the address associated with your account at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the modified Terms, you must discontinue your use of the Service and may request account deletion.
